New Model of Smart Manufacturing: KVM Empowers Workshop Production Lines, Innovation Leads Digital Upgrade

2025-06-04 Read:

With the rapid advancement of technology, smart manufacturing has become a crucial direction for the transformation and upgrading of the global manufacturing industry. KVM systems, as a remote management and control technology, are gradually becoming one of the key systems for the digital upgrade of factory production lines.

In smart manufacturing scenarios, KVM systems enable remote monitoring, control, and management of production line equipment, significantly improving production efficiency and equipment utilization.

KVM Digital Production Line Solution

Currently, the SimLine IP KVM system has been successfully implemented in factory workshop production lines. While simplifying user operations and enabling remote monitoring and control of production line equipment, it has greatly enhanced production line management efficiency.

This system utilizes advanced network technology through IP KVM input ends and software output ends to achieve unified control and management of signals and devices such as audio, video, keyboard/mouse, and RS232.

During the system design process, we minimized the number of devices required to reduce user costs:

  • Hardware: We use IP KVM input devices, equipped with HDMI/DVI/VGA video interfaces according to production line equipment requirements. Featuring a high-performance image processing engine, the end-to-end latency is below 60ms.

  • Software: The SimLine Remote Centralized Management and Monitoring Software is deployed. The entire production line can be easily scheduled and monitored directly from output devices. The software boasts strong compatibility, low network and memory footprint, and delivers a real-time access experience with near-zero latency.

Through remote access and control technology, technicians no longer need to be physically present on-site. They can remotely operate production line equipment, monitor equipment status in real-time, gain more precise insights into production conditions, optimize resource allocation, and improve work efficiency.
